C Bar C and POOCH Park History
POOCH members, with their dues and donations, pay for improvements to the park, waste bags, pools, chairs, shade structures, etc. as well as liability insurance for special events at the park.
There is no charge for use of the park.
POOCH Dog Park is accessible for those with special needs and our long-term goal is to raise the funds for a walking path around the park to improve access for the elderly and handicapped and to just make a walk around the park safer and easier for everyone.
The park is open every day from dawn to dusk with the exception of Thursday when the park opens at 10am after maintenance and mowing by S.R.P.D.
POOCH is a 501c(3) Non-Profit Organization supporting POOCH Dog Parks at C Bar C Park in Citrus Heights, CA
Pet Owners Organization of Citrus Heights was incorporated in 1997 to develop an off-leash dog park. In partnership with Sunrise Recreation and Park District.
POOCH dog park at C Bar C was opened in 2000. The two organizations work together to maintain and upgrade the dog park.
In October 2005 we opened “Buddy’s Park” for small dogs in memory of Buddy, a Boston Terrier. 10 years later we expanded Buddy’s Park to its present size.
